27 June 2019
Ever wondered what it’s like working in different types of organisations, such as conservation charities and commercial businesses that support wildlife?
Well, wonder no more. Because at this year's Birdfair event, you can bring along your questions for a fun and fast-paced session where you’ll have the chance to meet people working in conservation and beyond for an informal chat.
Birdfair is the UK's biggest wildlife event, and often referred to as the nature enthusiasts 'Glastonbury' running from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 August in Rutland.
You will have the chance to meet 4 experts from a range of fields and have a 5 minute 1 to 1 chat with each of them about working in conservation. If these sessions prove very popular you may have to take part in small groups.
Spaces are limited at each session so booking is essential. You will receive an email to confirm your booking but this may take a little while.
There are 5 session times available during the afternoon and you will only need to attend one session. Follow this link to book your space.
The event is held at Rutland Water Nature Reserve which is cared for by Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust in partnership with Anglian Water. A spectacular wetland, it provides one of the most important wildfowl sanctuaries in the UK, regularly holding in excess of 25,000 waterfowl.
The entry ticket covers all the daytime events: separate tickets can be purchased for evening events and cruises. Parking for Birdfair is free of charge.
