NEW GEAR: Lowepro continues their legacy of innovation with new green line label collection made from 75% recycled fabrics
18 August 2021
Lowepro is a company with a 50-year reputation for creating protective gear-carrying solutions for adventure photographers, explorers and birders. And there is good news for fans of the brand and the environment as Lowepro take their first steps toward sustainable products with the introduction of their green line label.
Lowepro’s green line label with loading bar makes its debut in their new PhotoSport III collection. PhotoSport III comes in 2 sizes, designed for photo hikers and is made from 75% recycled fabrics*.
The third generation of Lowepro’s agile PhotoSport collection, available in 2 colour variations covers all the needs of photography and adventure so users don’t have to compromise their carry. Built for photo-adventurers looking for the perfect lightweight camera backpack for day hikes and backcountry travel, the PhotoSport III offers the comfort and capacity of an outdoor pack with the modularity and protection synonymous with the Lowepro brand.
The collection is currently offered in 2 sizes: PhotoSport III BP 15L & PhotoSport III BP 24L, built to hold crop sensor and full frame mirrorless cameras respectively, with attached lens, 1-2 extra lenses, or compact drone. Each is designed to protect camera gear with Lowepro’s signature removable GearUp camera insert plus an accessory strap system for multiple carrying configurations.
This dedicated gear storage is balanced by ample open space to stow all the essentials of an outdoor adventure. ActivZone™ harness system provides all-day carrying comfort while a padded dedicated hydration pocket lets users comfortably carry their water reservoir (not included).
Made from 75% recycled fabrics*, including recycled robic nylon (known for its exceptional lightweight and strength), the PhotoSport III is pulling double duty, also serving as Lowepro’s platform to launch their new green line label. The green line represents a new direction for Lowepro, a commitment to doing their part to preserve and protect the world captured by their community of photographers through creating sustainable products.
The green line label shows a loading bar indicating the percentage of sustainable materials used to build each bag. It is a way to share Lowepro’s journey toward sustainability, being fully transparent with their audience each step of the way on their journey to offer a full range of bags with the highest content of recycled, reused, upcycled or otherwise sustainably sourced materials.
For more information head to www.lowepro.com and additional multi-day packs will be added to the line in autumn 2021.
*Measured as recycled yarn content by surface area as percent of total fabric surface area.
Some materials are 100% recycled. 75% accounts for all the fabric panels.
