New Vortex Viper HD 12x50 Roof Prism Binoculars arrive in the UK
The newest arrival to the Vortex range of binoculars arrived on UK shore's last Friday.
Vortex say the Viper HD 12x50 binocular is a response by the manufacturer to satisfy the demand for a quality 12x50 binocular positioned between the popular 12x50 Diamondback and the top of the range 12x50 Razor HD.
With an RRP of £599.00 the 12x50 Viper HD slots neatly (spec-wise) between the 10x50 Viper HD and 15x50 Viper HD to offer those who want a little extra magnification without the need to tripod mount for a steady view.
The new additions come out fighting with some pretty impressive weight shedding stats thanks to new technology and materials. The Viper HD's have a rubber armoured polycarbonate body, which weighs just 795g - this is 70g lighter than the 12x50 Diamondback's and 40g lighter than the top spec 12x50 Razor HD's. The binoculars also measure just 17cm in length and come with Vortex Argon gas purging, ArmorTek lens coatings, dielectric prism coatings with the Vortex proprietary XR lens coatings. The HD extra low dispersion glass elements along with a unlimited lifetime warranty should make the Viper 12x50 HD's a serious contender to be involved in your next optical equipment buying decision.
